Short answer: Branding for beauty and wellness spaces means designing an identity that conveys a sense of care before the client even walks through the door: logo, colour palette, typography, print, appointment cards, gift vouchers, signage and Instagram in one unified system. Poua Design designs identities for beauty salons, hair salons, spas, aesthetic clinics, nail studios and wellness centres in Athens and across Greece, aiming for an image that justifies the price of the service and builds a loyal clientele.
Why a beauty space needs branding, not just a nice logo
In beauty and wellness, the client isn’t buying a product they can compare on a shelf. They’re buying a promise: that they’ll leave the space more beautiful, more rested, more sure of themselves. The decision to book is almost always made visually — from Instagram, from the Google profile, from the card a friend handed over, from the window they passed. If these touchpoints don’t convey the same level of care that exists inside the space, the business loses clients before it has even met them.
Branding solves exactly that: it defines how the business “looks” and “sounds” at every contact, so the experience starts with the first glance and stays consistent through to the thank-you message after the appointment. In a market where every neighbourhood has five hair salons and three beauty clinics, consistency of image is what makes a client choose you and return.

What branding for a beauty salon, spa or clinic includes
Logo and monogram
Beauty spaces often need two versions of the mark: a full logo with the name, and a monogram that works small — on a product label, an appointment card or as a profile picture. For Momar Beauty Hall we designed a calligraphic monogram that distils elegance and the movement of care, without resorting to the sector’s clichés (scissors, flowers, silhouettes). A good monogram stands the test of time and can be embroidered, engraved or foil-stamped with equal ease.
Colour palette
Colour is perhaps the most powerful tool in this sector, because it signals the business’s place in the market before a word is read. Momar’s black and salmon places the space in the premium category: black gives prestige and seriousness, salmon adds warmth and skin. A spa may need calm, earthy tones, while a nail studio for a young audience can carry bolder contrasts. The palette is defined in Pantone, CMYK, RGB and HEX codes so the same salmon is the same on the card, the window and Instagram.
Typography
A calligraphic or serif element for headings gives the feel of an atelier, while a clean sans-serif for prices, opening hours and body copy ensures legibility. The type pairing stays fixed across price lists, cards, service menus and website.
Print and applications
Beauty spaces have more printed pieces than you’d imagine: business cards, appointment cards, gift vouchers, a price list or service menu, loyalty cards, labels for the products the space sells, envelopes, letterheads for partnerships and offers. Each is an opportunity to strengthen the image — or spoil it, if printed carelessly. See more on choosing paper and finish in our article on print production and print supervision.

Case study: Momar Beauty Hall
Momar Beauty Hall is a beauty complex that wanted to stand out from the hair salons in its area and speak to women and men who invest in their care as a ritual, not a chore. The direction we proposed was “contemporary atelier”: elegant, dark, with one warm touch.
The calligraphic monogram was drawn by hand and digitised, so it has the naturalness of handwriting but the clarity small applications demand. The black–salmon palette was applied in reverse depending on the material: black ground with salmon details on cards and labels, white or salmon ground with black typography on letterheads and vouchers. That way the system has two “moods” without losing its identity.
The result is an identity that looks expensive without being cold — exactly what a space that sells care needs. You can see how we work through the whole process in our article on branding and corporate identity in Athens.

What’s particular about the beauty and wellness sector
Instagram is the shop window
For hair salons, nail studios and aesthetic clinics, Instagram isn’t a promotion channel, it’s the portfolio. The identity has to be designed with the grid in mind: templates for before/afters, for price lists in stories, for highlight covers, for offer posts. Without them the page fills with unconnected photos and the brand falls apart. More in our article on digital design for websites and social media.
The space is part of the brand
The sign, the reception, the shelf labels, even the towels and robes are touchpoints. Branding must give direction on how the palette and logo carry over to materials in the space — what’s matte, what’s glossy, where the monogram stands alone and where the full logo is used.
Retail products
Many spaces sell their own products or private-label ranges. Their labels and packaging must speak the same language as the space, or they look like foreign bodies on the shelf. See how we approach packaging design.
Trust and professionalism
In services that touch the body — aesthetics, laser, massage, dermatological care — the client needs to feel safe. A careless identity undermines trust, whatever the quality of the staff. Clean typography, consistency and attention to detail in print act as proof of professionalism.
Our process
1. Analysis and positioning
We discuss which audience you want to attract, who the competitors in the area are, which services you want to promote most and what price category you’re aiming for. Positioning determines every later design decision.
2. Concept and moodboard
We present one or two directions with reference images, colour palettes and type pairings, so we agree on the feel before the mark is designed.
3. Logo design
Sketches, digitising, variations (horizontal, vertical, monogram), tests at small size and in reverse. More on the method in our article on logo design.
4. Applications and print
We design the full range of print the space needs and supervise printing, choosing papers and finishes (foil stamping, letterpress, coloured core, soft touch) that suit the positioning.
5. Brand guide and digital files
We deliver files in every format (AI, PDF, PNG, SVG) and a short usage guide, so the photographer, the social media manager or the printer can apply the identity correctly.
Frequently asked questions
How much does branding for a hair salon or aesthetic clinic cost?
It depends on the scope: logo only, logo with basic print, or a full system with signage, Instagram templates and packaging. We give a specific quote after a first conversation about the space’s needs.
How long does it take?
A logo with basic applications is usually completed in 3–5 weeks. A full package with signage and digital templates may take 6–8 weeks, depending on approval times.
I already have a logo. Can I just do a refresh?
Yes. An existing mark often needs cleaning up, a new palette and typography, and proper applications. We assess what’s worth keeping and what isn’t.
Do you design Instagram too?
We design the visual system for Instagram: post and story templates, highlight covers, photography direction. We can take on content management by arrangement.
Do you work with spaces outside Athens?
Yes. The process runs remotely with online presentations, and printing can be organised either by us or with a local printer to our specifications.
