A woodworking shop on Naxos needed the image of a complete business: a mark, cards, a sign and a way to sign its work on the wood itself.
A mark in black and beige, applied to every material in the workshop: from paper to metal to fire.
Every piece of furniture leaves the workshop stamped with the mark and packed with care, so the brand reaches the customer's home intact.
Logo and brand identity for a woodworking shop on Naxos
Avgerinos Wooden Projects is a woodworking shop on Naxos that carries the name of its maker, Avgerinos. Poua Design took on the logo, the business cards and the business's presence overall, with applications that go beyond print: a metal shop sign, a branding iron and shipping packaging for the furniture.
One of the jobs we love most, because from the start the direction was very clear: we wanted to avoid anything expected for a woodworking shop and create a mark that could genuinely stand as a brand. The result is based on the A of Avgerinos and on the logic of the craft itself — joints, volumes and the precision that working with wood demands. An identity we believe is still strong and contemporary today.

How it came together
- 01
Research & challenge
A woodworking shop sells mainly through its own work: the piece of furniture that enters a home is its best advertisement. So the question wasn't only how the identity would appear on a card or a façade, but how it would follow the furniture after delivery.
- 02
Idea & design
The mark is formed from pieces of wood fitted together into an A, the initial of Avgerinos. The palette was limited to two colours: black and a beige that recalls both raw timber and the cardboard of the shipping box. This ties the identity straight to a woodworking shop and to the materials that pass through the craftsman's hands every day.
- 03
Delivery & result
For the shopfront we designed a metal sign with the mark. We created a branding iron that burns the mark with heat directly into the furniture, so every piece carries its maker's signature. We also worked on the shipping packaging, so every order arrives with a cared-for image. Together with the business cards, the identity covers every point where the customer meets the workshop.
